South African wine has a history dating back to 1659, with the first bottle produced in Cape Town by its founder Jan van Riebeeck. With more than 300 years of winemaking history, it is often described as bridging the gap between the Old World and New. There are about 60 appellations within the Wine of Origin (WO) system, which was implemented in 1973 with a hierarchy of designated production regions, districts and wards.

By keeping up to date with the country’s new and upcoming winemakers, as well as maintaining sound relationships with South Africa’s most-recognised producers, P V VINTNERS is able to offer our customers a huge range of South African wines under one roof and we will introduce you to delicious new wines, from beautiful far-away vineyards, made by talented passionate winemakers

Currently P V Vintners represents producers with estates located in Stellenbosch, Cape Agulhas, Franschhoek, Elgin, Worcester, Swartland, Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge, Walker Bay, Hermanus, Elandskloof Valley and the Cape South Coast regions.
